In June 2023, Fredrik Skarp became President and CEO at Armatec & Co. and Business Area Manager for Flow Technology within Ernströmgruppen.
Fredrik joins from Ahlsell – a Nordic installation products, tools and supplies distributor – where he had responsibility for the company’s business and operations in Sweden, and comes with vast international experience in construction and industry. The leadership assignment involves creating customer-driven synergies between the companies of Armatec & Co. without jeopardizing each company’s DNA, and strengthening the flow technology business towards undisputable niche leadership.
“I like that Ernströmgruppen is an entrepreneurial industrial conglomerate,” says Fredrik. “For four generations, they have managed to stay close to their employees and customers while at the same time being a long-term owner with all the necessary resources. Armatec & Co. operates in an industry of the future that fundamentally contributes to improving the world. Efficient energy flows are both economical and sustainable.”
In recent years, Armatec has performed a comprehensive improvement project including efficiency, offering and organization. The strategy is to expand the business at an even faster pace through organic growth and acquisitions.
“There is an exciting plan ahead for the areas I am responsible for,” Fredrik continues. “It suits me perfectly, being a result-oriented leader driven to create growth and profitability. People are always the most important asset to achieve real progress. Then, it is about constantly trying to make things a little better, all the time, in all areas. If each part lifts ever so slightly, it greatly impacts the total business.”
